Peter Anderson

Trustee and Management Member

 Bellewaarde 1915 Charity Team

Peter is a long standing supporter of Bellewaarde 1915 and was present at the initial discussions about placing the memorial at the Hooge Crater Museum.

Peter has a long history in World War 1 investigations, which have led to the discovery and recognition of lost war graves and has made it possible for Peter to provide free WWI tours of his local area.

His current projects, as well as Bellewaarde 1915, include:

The investigation and reporting of Units, Regiments, Battalions and individual soldiers who were in Folkestone and the surrounding area during The Great War. His research is available to the public and the funds will keep this service free to those on a low income.

Researching the 1918 Lolaire disaster, off the Western Isles of Scotland. Researching Henry Wade, the history, development and significant impact of his mobile surgical operating car, providing support to emergency operating theatres during The Great War.

Peter wishes to complete his studies at Wolverhampton University for an MA in First World War Studies. Once completed he seeks to use this knowledge to help establish a museum in Folkestone. He also wishes and to help others interested in WW1 Genealogy to help find information on what their forefathers (and mothers) did in the 'War To End All Wars'.
