Private 8853 Arthur Lloyd
Born in Chester 1881, the son of John and Sarah Ann Lloyd, of 8, Cottage St., Stafford. Enlisted Northumberland Fusiliers and entered the theatre of war 13th August 1914, served with 'X' Company. Listed as missing, later confirmed killed in action 16th June 1915 at Bellewaarde, Ypres. Received the Victory, British, 1914 Star and Clasp (Received for wounds in the field of battle).
Arthur was un-married, but, leaves siblings: older brother Frederick George, and older sisters Gertrude and Florence.
